Growing in Community: Paula Dixon Design’s Custom Planter Collaboration
Growing in Community
A Collaboration Rooted in Connection and Faith
Some stories come full circle — and this one began years ago in junior high. Recently, I had the joy of reconnecting with an old friend to bring a meaningful idea to life: a custom planter I designed as a thank-you gift for clients when their projects are complete.
What started as a design concept evolved into something deeper — a reflection of community, creativity, and collaboration, three values that define Paula Dixon Design.
The Meaning Behind the Design
Each planter features our interlocking PD icon, a mark that represents more than just initials. For us, it symbolizes the way design connects people — how each project, relationship, and shared vision interlocks to create something stronger together.

Guided by Faith
Throughout this collaboration, one verse continued to guide my heart:
“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” — Mark 1:17
This verse is a reminder that our work isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces — it’s about using our gifts to serve and uplift others. Each project and every planter given is a small expression of that greater calling. Our brand is built upon this verse — it defines our purpose and inspires every design we create.
Paula Dixon with Junior High Friend, Allyn
Working alongside a longtime friend made this project even more special. The process reminded me how faith and friendship can weave into design, and how the seeds of connection planted long ago can grow into something meaningful and lasting.
A Gift That Reflects Our Values
These custom planters are more than client gifts — they’re tokens of gratitude and community, celebrating the beauty that happens when creativity and purpose meet.
At Paula Dixon Design, we believe that design is about more than aesthetics — it’s about building relationships and creating spaces (and stories) that reflect faith, connection, and joy.
Thank you for being part of this growing community. Every design, every collaboration, and every planter reminds me why we do what we do — to create beauty that connects people and glorifies the One who inspires it all.
